Bodily Injury — Per Person
$25,000
One ambulance ride, an ER visit and an MRI can exhaust this before treatment even begins.
Las Vegas Car Accident Lawyers
Nevada is an at-fault state, which means the driver who caused the crash — and their insurer — is responsible for your losses. Getting them to actually pay is the part we handle.
Follow the Money
The at-fault driver’s required policy is usually the first source of recovery — and it is smaller than most hospital bills.
Bodily Injury — Per Person
$25,000

Bodily Injury — Per Accident
$50,000
Shared by everyone hurt in the crash. Two or more victims split the same pool.
Property Damage
$20,000
Covers the vehicles — until it doesn’t. The average new car costs more than twice this.
Underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage on your own auto policy — or a household member’s — often adds a second layer of recovery most people never claim. We review your declarations page for free.
Most Las Vegas crashes are not mysterious. Somebody ran a light on Sahara, drifted lanes on the 215, or rear-ended you at a Strip intersection. What turns a simple crash into a fight is the insurance company on the other side, whose job is to pay you as little as possible and who is very good at that job.
The at-fault driver's liability insurance pays for your medical bills, lost wages, vehicle damage and pain and suffering. Nevada's minimum required coverage is $25,000 per person / $50,000 per accident / $20,000 property damage — which sounds like a lot until you see what one ambulance ride and an MRI cost. When those limits are not enough, we look at underinsured motorist coverage on your own policy, and at any other party who contributed to the crash.
Nevada follows modified comparative negligence. As long as you are found 50% or less at fault, you can still recover — your award is simply reduced by your share. Adjusters know most people assume any fault kills the claim, and they lean on that assumption. Do not concede fault to anyone before you have talked to a lawyer.
Generally two years from the date of the crash to file suit in Nevada. Claims against a public entity — an RTC bus, a city vehicle — carry much shorter notice requirements. Evidence also decays fast: intersection camera footage is often overwritten within weeks.
This page is general information about Nevada law, not legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Every case turns on its own facts — call us and we will tell you where yours stands.

If you were not hurt and there is only cosmetic damage, often no. But 'minor' crashes routinely produce soft-tissue injuries that surface days later, and once you accept a settlement the claim is closed permanently. A free consultation costs you nothing and tells you which situation you are in.
You may still recover through the uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage on your own policy. Nevada insurers must offer UM coverage, and many drivers carry it without realising. We review your declarations page as part of the free consultation.
It depends mostly on your medical treatment. We do not send a demand until doctors know the full extent of your injuries, because that number is what the claim is worth. Straightforward cases can resolve in a few months; cases that require filing suit take longer.
